Today we discussed "The Cold War", "The Cuban Missile Crisis", and the proliferation of nuclear armaments and the balance of power that eroded after the USSR faded from power.
What does Mr Teehan's class know of "American Imperialism"? Why would Irish Americans possibly have more idea about this having experienced British Imperialism? Is it something that would cause a heated debate?
How about the teaching of the Theory of Evolution versus Creationism or maybe "Intelligent Design"? [excuse the oxymoron] What do you think about some states banning teaching of scientific theories in favour of religious beliefs? At our state schools it is illegal to teach in a religious way. I hear that in some of your states it is illegal to teach in a scientific way. Is this true? How do you feel about it?
How about politics? [Another touchy subject] Who thinks Obama will beat Hillary? Who thinks the Democrats will beat the Republicans? or Vice v versa.
Also, have Mr Teehan's class thanked him for being such an innovative, energetic and enthusiastic teacher?
